He became convinced Catholicism is true because of:

-- Apostolic succession – only Catholic priests have authority through an unbroken line back to the apostles.
-- The Eucharist – the early Church universally believed in the real presence of Christ.
-- Confession – another practice rooted in the early Church.

He realized Protestants rely only on the Bible, but the Bible wasn’t compiled until centuries after Christ. A metaphor he used: Protestantism is like pulling just the patty out of a hamburger; Catholicism keeps the whole meal intact. Evangelical co-workers’ anti-Catholic claims pushed him to study further. His conversion was gradual, taking about a year, and he feels the Church “chose him.”

Trey sums it up: Catholicism has the fullness of the faith because it unites scripture, tradition, the magisterium, and the Eucharist — the same way the early Church practiced for 1500 years.
