PM announces $650 million bushfire relief package | SBS News

Описание: The Morrison government has committed $650 million to assist recovery efforts for bushfires that devastated large areas of Australia over the summer.

Agriculture Minister David Littleproud said about $450 million of the amount would go to "local economic recovery plans", and the funding would invest in mental health programs for affected communities.

Thousands of homes were destroyed and dozens of lives lost in one of Australia's worst bushfire seasons on record last year.
