NAVTAD NA SAMOSA
CHEF AANAL KOTAK
PREP TIME:- 5-10 mins
COOKING TIME:- 25-30 mins
INGREDIENTS:-
FOR BOILING CHANNA DAL:-
●1 cup channa dal
●Water as required
●Salt as per taste
●1 tsp turmeric powder
FOR STUFFING:-
●1 tbsp oil
●1 tbsp cumin seeds
●1 tsp asafoetida
●1 nos. Onion (chopped)
●1 tbsp red chilli powder
●½ tbsp turmeric powder
●1 tbsp coriander powder
●Salt as per taste
●1 cup channa dal (boiled)
●1 tbsp Coriander (chopped)
●¼ cup cornflour slurry (1 ½ tbsp cornflour + water)
●Oil for frying
METHOD:-
FOR BOILING CHANNA DAL:-
●First of all take, a bowl add Channa dal, water and it for 3-4 times.
●Further add water in the washed channa dal and soak it for 4-5 hours.
●Further strain the water and keep dal aside.
●Now take a pressure cooker add soaked dal, salt as per taste, and turmeric powder.
●Further add water and pressure cook for 2 whistle on medium flame.
FOR STUFFING:-
●Set a pan on medium heat, add oil, cumin seeds and asafoetida. Let cumin seeds crackle.
●Further add onion and sauté it till onions gets a little translucent.
●Then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder. Mix this well
●Add salt as per taste, channa dal and mix it gently.
●Transfer the stuffing to a bowl and add some chopped coriander leaves.
●Now to make samosa take the samosa sheet place stuffing on the sheet and make a triangle as shown in the video.
●Cut the excess part of the sheet, seal the samosa with slurry and paste it.
●Fry it in hot oil till crispy and golden brown.
