In the hours and days following the death of Marine Captain Jeff Kuss in a crash at the Great Tennessee Airshow in Smyrna, TN, both the airshow and local communities paid tribute to him in many ways. We wanted to put together just some of the things done to honor Kuss, who flew as Blue Angel 6 this year.
The solemn transfer of his body from the hearse to Fat Albert, the Blue Angels' C-130 Hercules, for transport home. Performer dedications and the time-honored missing man formation. A candle light vigil organized in just a few hours. A makeshift memorial from supporters and fans.
Please keep Capt. Kuss' family, friends, and teammates in your thoughts as they continue to deal with this tragic loss.
