👩‍👦With very young babies, parents can sit with legs stretched straight out in front, then lay your baby on your upper legs. Sing the song and gently raise and lower your knees and softly bounce your baby on the beat.
👩‍👦With older babies, you can sit on the floor with the legs crossed or stretched and have your child sit on your knee facing you. Allow your baby’s feet to touch the floor, raise and lower your knees and bounce your child on the beat.
👩‍👦With toddlers, you can sit on the floor with legs stretched straight out in front. Have your child sit on your legs facing you or facing away. Then bounce your toddler on the beat.
You may also sit on a chair to bounce your child, of course.
👩‍👦Even older kids still love to do this activity together with their parents. Older children may also move along to the song by imitating the different actions.
