Hey guys, John here with Realtruck.com. Today I want to show you how to install the Access Tailgate Protector on this 2015 GMC Sierra Denali 2500.

Okay guys, we've got this out of the box. You can see here it comes with everything you need to install. It comes with the tailgate protector, the screws to attach it with and also an instruction sheet. You can take a look at this and you can see that it's got this protective coating on there, but we'll leave this on until we get it on the truck. Let's get this on the truck.

Okay guys, we've laid it out here on the truck bed. What you want to do is to go ahead and lay it out here where it looks about centered and then just take a tape measure and measure on the sides here and just on both sides to make sure you got it centered in. We've got this one centered on here pretty close. What we're going to do then is we're going to go ahead and start by drilling this hole right here and we're going to drill that and attach one of our screws here and that will help hold this in place while we do the rest of them, so let's get this one drilled.

Now, basically what we're doing when we drill this is we're just drilling a pilot hole to help our screws go in, so that they go in a little easier and they don't snap off and such and these are self-tapping screws.
