⚖️ THE PENALTIES
This law creates new criminal and civil penalties
for anyone who "interferes" with access to abortion
or transgender healthcare services.

Interfering is now a fourth-degree crime: 18 months
in prison and up to $10,000 in fines. If someone is
injured: third-degree — three to five years and up
to $15,000. Serious bodily injury: second-degree —
five to ten years in prison and up to $150,000.

🙏 WHO THE PENALTIES APPLY TO
Fox News and multiple legal analysts are raising
serious questions about whether people who gather
peacefully to pray outside abortion clinics could
be prosecuted under this law.

The First Amendment does not disappear because
you're standing on a public sidewalk near a
particular building.

👶 THE MINORS
This law prohibits New Jersey's professional
licensing boards from disciplining medical providers
who perform puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones,
and surgical interventions on minors.

If a provider fast-tracks a child into a permanent
life-altering medical decision the child later
regrets — our state licensing boards are now barred
from taking corrective action.

👪 PARENTAL RIGHTS
Under this law, a noncustodial adult could
transport a minor across state lines into New
Jersey to receive an abortion or transgender
medical treatment — against the express wishes
of a custodial parent or legal guardian.

New Jersey is now a destination. Parents in
other states have no recourse.

🚫 OUT-OF-STATE INVESTIGATIONS
This law prohibits New Jersey state agencies
from cooperating with out-of-state enforcement
actions targeting reproductive or transgender
healthcare.

Critics have raised concerns this could restrict
legitimate interstate criminal investigations and
create opportunities for bad actors to exploit
vulnerable children.

The law takes effect immediately.
