Ukrainian forces – and citizens – are bracing for another tough winter. With US support hanging in the balance, President Zelensky warns Ukraine could lose without US help.

Meanwhile Russia has launched a diplomatic offensive in the global South and a hybrid attack on the West.

Wilfried Jilge, is an associate fellow at the German Council on Foreign Relations DGAP. An expert on Eastern Europe, he is a mediation adviser on Ukraine at the Center for International Peace Operations (ZIF).
