@Dr.Behnaz Pelvic pain, burning, pressure, or discomfort with urination or ejaculation — yet every test comes back “normal”? Many men are told they have prostatitis, take antibiotics (sometimes repeatedly), and still feel no real relief.
In many cases, prostatitis symptoms are not caused by infection. They are linked to tight pelvic floor muscles, irritated nerves around the prostate, prolonged sitting, stress, and protective muscle guarding. These factors can reduce blood flow, increase nerve sensitivity, and keep pain ongoing even when lab results look normal.
Pelvic floor physical therapy focuses on calming the system — teaching the muscles to relax, improving circulation, reducing nerve sensitivity, and addressing posture, breathing, and daily habits that keep the pelvic area tense. This approach is not about pushing through pain, but retraining the body out of a constant protective state.
I’m Dr. Behnaz, a pelvic floor specialist, and I work with men experiencing chronic pelvic pain and prostatitis-like symptoms when tests don’t provide answers. If this sounds familiar, you are not alone.
