Emily Whisman is a ceramic sculptor who received her BFA from Purdue University Fort Wayne. Many artists working with clay are drawn to the medium for the ability to create functional artwork, but Emily sees clay differently. She uses it as a means to tell stories by building different series of figurative sculptures. Ceramic sculpture says something to Emily, and the goal is for her work to say something to others.
