Fifteen people, all of them seriously injured in the US embassy bomb blast in Nairobi, arrived in Germany on Sunday (09/08) for treatment.

SOT Brigadier General Mike Wooley, in english "The situation that we have this morning is the arrival of first air medical evacuation plane coming from Naiorbi to offload patients, critically injured patients as result of tragedy in Nairobi. There will be 15 critically ill people on aeroplane that we will transport to the regional medical centre.";

SOT continues " I do understand that injuries that you would imagine in a bombing situation. A lot of heavy things falling - you would think of cuts, crushing injuries, things of that nature.";

SOT Colonel Lawrence Whitehurst, in charge of 86th medical group, Ramstein Airbase, "The individual going to the Homburg medical centre is a Kenyan. We think he is an employee of the embassy but I don't have exact information on that. All I know for sure is that he was a Kenyan who was severely injured in the blast.";
