Why Federal Money Matters in San Diego County

Описание: The Federal Funding Task Force of our combined local Leagues (LWV of San Diego and LWV of North County San Diego) has been studying how federal funding currently affects the people of our county, and thus the local impact of the budget changes currently happening in Washington, D.C.

The task force presented its analysis and government data on the federal funds that were sent to San Diego County in 2024. Discover how deeply federal dollars impact every resident in some way — from housing, jobs, and roads to government pensions, education, healthcare, and much more. It is remarkable to see how federal funding touches our own lives and those of our community members.

We hope this baseline knowledge will help us all understand how the significant budget changes that are currently being proposed could affect the people of San Diego County.
