Upon inspection when this puncturing object is pulled out or unscrewed (in case of a screw) the Formula X gel immediately begins the curing process. A short ride / drive allows the tyre to flex and the rubber particles inside the gel seal the puncture automatically and instantly.

This is a permanent repair and does not require an external fix. Thus providing a repair which is impervious to external elements like water, mud, dirt, snow etc.

The Formula X Gel is designed to retain its form inside an air tight tyre for as long as 10 years. Which means it will not need a refill and will continue to protect your tyres as long as the rubber memory in the tyre persists.

Formula X Gel internally repairs punctures unlike the traditional external puncture plug which required the hole to be widened so the puncture plug could be inserted in. Widening the hole damages the steel belt thus decreasing the tyre life. Always inspect your tyres every 200 to 300 kms for any punctured objects as with Formula X you will not realise you have had a puncture. But at the same time it is important to remove these objects in time. If not removed they may lead to consequential damage leading to a flat tyre.

In case you find a nail or screw in the tyre, take the bike to the next available air pressure filling point. Top up the tyre by about 5 PSI over the recommended PSI. Then pull the nail out. If it's a screw remember to unscrew. As soon as the object is removed, immediately ride a about 100 to 200 meters for the puncture to repair. Do not forget to top up the air pressure back to the recommended PSI once the repair is complete.

Formula X is ineffective with large objects that damage or cut the tube. And hence we recommend you to always carry an extra tube (in case of a tube tyre) to deal with issues that Formula X does not protect you with.
