With all the "forecasting" that had been going on a day or so before, warning us of the potential of a tornado, I went to work and took my portable 2-meter HAM radio with me and had it on Scan mode listening to police and first responders as well as other HAMS.
So, that is what you hear in the background.
At one point, you will hear a Fellow HAM say he hears what sounds like a freight train and he is headed to the basement.
Many homes in his area were destroyed. His did not have any major damage.
But, at the first part of this, a Madisonville Policeman called in and reported he was on "portable" at Kangaroo Express ( A convenience store). that store was destroyed except for the Walk-in Cooler that they all went in to....
