Medieval Times Donates Teddy Bears To North Texas Auto Theft Task Force To Help Children

Описание: Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament Donated 225 Teddy Bears to the Dallas Sheriff's North Texas Auto Theft Task Force and its participating partners that include the Dallas County Hospital District Police, the Dallas County Marshals, the Desoto Police Department, the Rockwall Police Department, NICB, the Denton Police Department, the Dallas County Constables Offices. The Task Force is funded by a grant from the Texas Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority.


The Teddy Bears will be distributed among the different agencies and kept in the squad cars so that when an officer or deputy encounters a child who has been traumatized due to tragedy or victimization, the child can given a bear. The child is comforted by the bear in an unfortunate or unfamiliar surrounding.


Children are all too often the victims of situations that leave them frightened, anxious and confused. The teddy bears are used to help these young children cope with their distress by bringing them comfort and companionship. The emotional support the stuffed animals bring to these children is immeasurable. With this reassuring gesture, our crime victim’s liaison and officers are also able to create a bond with the children and help them realize that they are there to help. The stuffed animals become a source of comfort and well-being even after we are gone.
