Описание: Ecoworks NZ Ltd. These pest proof fences are designed to protect pelagic seabirds in West Maui from introduced mongoose, feral cats and rats. This project also utilises acoustics, artificial burrows and decoys in an effort to get the birds to land and breed at this new site. Currently low numbers of both Newell's shearwater and Hawaiian petrel fly over this site whilst heading into the West Maui Mountains to unknown breeding locations. Project funded by Firstwind Energy LLC.
