Today’s video brings two important welfare updates for serving and retired armed forces personnel (officers, JCOs, NCOs and Other Ranks) and their dependents (parents, spouse, children).

Update 1 is about a new transit accommodation facility in Chennai called the Golden Palm Transit Facility, which is starting from 1st April. If you are visiting Chennai for personal work, studies, job-related reasons, or medical treatment, this facility can provide safe and secure stay at highly concessional rates in a metro city.

As shared in the update, the stay charges are:
Per day: Single occupancy ₹750, Double occupancy ₹500, Triple occupancy ₹400
Per month: Single ₹12,000, Double ₹10,000, Triple ₹9,000
Note: Electricity consumption and food charges are additional as per actual use.

Facilities include well-furnished rooms, AC rooms (availability based), attached washrooms, WiFi connectivity, dining hall and common areas. Eligibility covers personnel and dependents from Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force and Indian Coast Guard. An online application form is required, and the contact details shared in the notice can be used to check availability and guidance.

Update 2 is for Ex-Servicemen who are seeking employment. The Directorate General Resettlement (DGR), Ministry of Defence is organizing a Job Fair for Ex-Servicemen on 20 March 2026 in Delhi Cantt.

Venue: Aravali Auditorium, near Shankar Vihar Metro Station, Shankar Vihar Military Station, Delhi Cantt.
Registration: Mandatory through the QR code (scan and complete the process).
Documents to carry: Ex-Servicemen ID card + 5 sets of resume/biodata.

Roles expected in this job fair include leadership roles for officers and multiple openings for ex-servicemen such as PSO/supervisors, security guards, drivers, machinery operators, technicians, fitters, electricians, telecom/network roles, hospital support and paramedical roles, draftsman/surveyor roles and other skilled trades. This is a strong opportunity for skilled and experienced veterans to connect directly with employers.
