~~~~~FAQ~~~~~
~Which races and classes are used?~
Human Fighter, Dwarf Fighter, Human Cleric, Human Mage
For details check out my EOB 1 longplay: • Видео
~Why no multiclass characters?~
Multiclass characters have their experience split between classes, which means they level up slower than single-class characters.
~Why are you forgoing 2 more companions?~
To level faster, limit the party to 4, since experience points are split across all party members.
~Why did you choose the races and classes?~
This is the best party if you plan to play through all three games, and it meets the minimum requirements for your party. I do not recommend using elven characters in EOB. They don't get any of their racial bonuses, but they do get the racial penalties of being immune to raising the dead. The Ranger bonus to two-handed combat is not worth being vulnerable to in the front ranks. Plus, he needs oodles of XP to gain levels. Halflings are quite a waste of time if you want to play through EOB3, as their level limitations there are pathetic. The Paladin was supposed to get a passive bonus in AD&D, but it was not implemented. Therefore I use 2 fighters, one of which is a dwarf and the other a human. A human so there is a short sword to start with.
~Why do you leave some items?~
Items I leave lying around are useless, have no magic effects or are bugged, like bows and arrows.
~Okay, but other items you pick up and use even though they have no effect (bracers).~
Only if they don't take up inventory space or are good for immersion.
~Whats all about this "Alain" in the Azure Tower Level 2?~
Have one of your party members to touch him and that party member will instantly gain a level (except when that character is level 13, which is the maximum level in this game). The best moment for this is when one of the characters has just gained a level.
