In mountains and hilly areas, situations arise when radio communication is needed between two points between which there is no direct line of sight, and the VHF frequencies propagate with enormous attenuation.
In such cases, radio communication in the HF band is possible.
The video talks about comparing communications in the VHF and HF bands between two points located on opposite sides of the mountain.

Experiment Conditions:
used frequencies: 3775 kHz and 145.500 MHz
radio: Motorola GP340 VHF (2 pcs), Uleima 80m (2 pcs)
distance between points ~ 10 km
