Let’s begin with its ancient roots – the settlement was founded as the Roman city of Pollentia in the 2nd century BC, and you can still find remains of the theatre and traces of ancient structures. Strolling through Alcudia’s streets, you’ll also discover the heritage of the Visigoths, Moors, and Aragonese – each era left its mark here 🏛️.

From above, Alcudia looks like a fairytale – medieval defensive walls surrounding the old town, narrow streets, historic houses, and the blue Mediterranean Sea in the background create an unforgettable picture 📸. The walls themselves are a masterpiece of 13th and 14th-century military architecture – stretching 1.5 km long, they can still be walked today, offering panoramic views of the town. Be sure to pass through the historic gates Porta de Mallorca and Porta del Moll, which have welcomed visitors for centuries.

In the centre of Alcudia stands the Gothic Church of Saint James ⛪ – the patron saint of pilgrims.
