"The Sea of Broken Glass" is an album I've been working on for about two years.
Conceptually, "The Sea of Broken Glass" is about a certain mind space, a place of mirages, the point where perception and metaphor meet and merge.
Musically, I like to see this album as a refinement of the old CaptainCreepy formula. It's an atmospheric mix of hip-hop, post-rock and electronica influences and a mix of vintage and modern textures. Distorted, evolving textures meet thumping 808 basslines and trap hi-hat rolls, but also with strangely delicate and somber moments.
It's inspired by the likes of Archive, Aes Dana, Purity Ring and the works featured on the Cryo Chamber label.
