Fletcher is unquestionably the best ship in the American destroyer line. She is nearly a perfect balance of gun power, torpedo damage, anti-submarine warfare capability, and anti-aircraft defenses, all packed into a tiny hull and about 20,000 HP. That balance is what defines the ship, but it's also what makes her challenging to play. She can't accept gunfights with just any old destroyer she comes across. She's capable, but remains a bit on the fragile side, and in the modern game there are some pretty big DD bullies in her matchmaking bracket. In this video I'll talk about how I build my Fletcher, why I fit her out that way, how I recommend playing her, and follow all of that up with a game demonstrating the ship in action.
