As Tacoma and the state update their housing policies, there’s a lot of talk about TOD: Transit-Oriented Development. Join us for a panel delving into policies and pitfalls of TOD as we work toward a goal of denser, more affordable housing served by frequent and convenient transit.
This free Friday Forum panel event was held on February 27th from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. in person at the University of Washington Tacoma in Milgard Hall Room 110, and virtually on Zoom Webinar. Featuring panelists Kiara Daniels (3D Homes), Matthew Mateo (Sound Transit), and Jasmyn Jefferson (Windermere Central Sound). Moderated by Tanisha Jumper (Tacoma Public Schools).
Thank you to UW Tacoma’s Office of Events and Conferences for supporting these forums by providing us with an in-person space.
Tacoma On the Go’s Friday Forums bring together local leaders, experts, and the community to talk about transportation issues facing Tacoma and our region. In the 2026 Friday Forums series, we’re exploring different ways we can increase connection in our communities through discussions on policy, mobility, and how local leaders can work together across jurisdictions.
