This has always been one of my favorite Hawaiian songs with its original lyrics having some Hawaiian language. When I get requests for it here on Guam (often by Chamorro people), I sing a similar translation so the composer's emotions can be understood by our local people. The next request in this OnLive series is my cover of Olomana's "Ku'u Home O Kahalu'u".
