Day 3-5

Day 3 was pretty mundane until we came across some of the best trail magic on the entire trail. The Wolverines come back every year and treat the hikers to breakfast and dinner. They provide cold refreshments, hotdogs, pancakes, stickers, charging, bathroom, showers, campfire, and fun PCT trivia with free candy as a reward whether you're right or wrong. 'Hoosier Daddy' even helps with painful blisters that almost every hiker has encountered thus far.

Day 4 feeling pretty sore. Came across giant pinecones bigger than my head. The entire day was exposed with very little shade. Spent lunch underneath an overlook near a road before continuing on in direct sun for miles. Long water carry and drank non-potable water that we treated with aqua tabs which tasted like pool water. Paid respects to the adventurous souls who have lost their life in wing suit/paragliding accidents. Very popular spot amongst locals. We ended our day at a very beautiful spot that was hard to pass up. My first time ever cowboy camping with such amazing views of the sunset and sunrise. Thankfully, the weather was perfect. Daytona had to finish my dinner since I didn't know I selected curry.

Day 5: Another scorcher. It's been hot but tolerable, to an extent. Very few bushes to crawl under for shade. We hadn't seen any hikers on trail so we played music out loud most of the day. Will be in town tomorrow so being allowed to burn through battery power has been kind of nice. Crossed mile 69. Other trails, hikers have already made a sign marking the mileage but apparently not this trail, so Daytona continued the tradition. We found a nice spot tucked in the bushes out of the wind with cell service. I FaceTimed my mom at dinner and called it an early night.
