Discover the new Civic Forecourt public artwork — a stunning yarning circle with a central firestone element that invites reflection, connection, and storytelling. Crafted from polished concrete with intricate detailing and illuminated by LED and fibre optic lighting, it transforms after dark.
Featuring works by renowned Nyoongar artists; Peter Farmer Snr, Kylie Graham and the late Meeyakba Shane Pickett (1957-2010) in collaboration with Jahne Rees of Scape-ism, this installation serves as the City’s official Aboriginal Acknowledgment and forms part of our Reconciliation Action Plan.
