A coordinated assembly of various vessels, piloted by Daniel Bray, Jacob Gearhart, and Jacob Ten Eyck, with experienced maritime personnel including Glover's Marblehead Regiment and local ferry operators, facilitated the crossing—a turning point in America's fight for independence.
