I travelled to the border of North Korea and got closer than most people ever will.

In this video, I crossed the 38th parallel and stood just 160 meters from North Korean territory — not just the DMZ, but the actual border itself. From the Dora Observatory, I saw directly into North Korea, including the massive national flag and the propaganda village of Kijong-dong.

I also went inside the Third Infiltration Tunnel, one of the secret tunnels dug by North Korea to infiltrate the South. Walking through it shows just how real and tense this border still is today.

Before entering the restricted area, our passports were checked and searched by South Korean soldiers. This is one of the most heavily guarded and politically sensitive places on Earth.

This is what it’s really like getting as close as possible to North Korea.
