Bents Basin Campground is a great place for family camping and first time campers. There are lots of stuffs you can do besides camping, like, swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking and many more. There are hot shower and flushing toilet, so you don't have to wander around in the bushes when nature calls. If you have a big group you can also reserve the kitchen and shelter all to yourself and have fun playing group games.
A walk to Caleys Lookout point would be a great way to introduce kids to hiking and a good memorable time for adults as well. (Unfortunately, I couldn't make it. My Bad)
Bents Basin is a good picnic spot too as it’s a close distance from sydney.
Make sure you book beforehand during peak seasons.
