 Outlander: Blood of My Blood stars open up about when viewers could see little Jamie Fraser. Serving as a prequel to the long-running Outlander series, Blood of My Blood centers on the romance between the parents of Jamie Fraser on one side and the parents of Claire Beauchamp on the other.  Tracking two love stories in two different time periods, the Outlander: Blood of my Blood cast is led by Hermione Corfield as Julia Moriston, Jeremy Irvine as Henry Beauchamp, Harriet Slater as Ellen MacKenzie, and Jamie Roy as Brian Fraser. It's already been renewed for season 2, setting the stage for a deeper exploration of the time before Outlander.  In an interview with Deadline, the four leads are asked about when viewers might see the youngest years of Jamie Fraser. Roy jokes about playing a small Jamie Fraser, while Corfield explains that Matt Roberts, the showrunner and executive producer, stated the series will end when Jamie is born. There is the story of Jamie's parents in 18th-century Scotland and Claire's parents in England during the First World War. But there is also an element of time travel that works to connect those two threads. Blood of My Blood season 1 ends with Julia and Henry attempting to travel through the stones. That has implications for the main series.  The implication, at least, is that Henry and Julia could travel to some point where Claire and Jamie are. The fact that the prequel is already confirmed means that Blood of My Blood season 2 will have the necessary narrative space to explore those key questions, which is made all the more important because the main series will soon end its long run.  Starz's Outlander shows are based on the novels by Diana Gabaldon.  Outlander season 8 will be its last, debuting on Friday, March 6, 2026.
