Check out our behind-the-scenes interview at the 2026 Tournament of Roses Float Preview Day with Ernest Koeppen, La Canada Flintridge Float President Emeritus who describes their “Goin Nutz” Float and “The Magic in Teamwork” Theme for the 137th Tournament of Roses Parade that will be held on Jan 1, 2026 in Pasadena, California.
The judges showed up, and everyone is working around-the-clock to get all the magnificent flowers and details on this unique float with a fun story behind it.
The woodland creatures work as a team on the Goin Nutz float & include Squirrels delivering acorns, a snake, hummingbird, possum, owl, rabbit & a duck piloting a raft.
Ernest’s ALL-VOLUNTEER team works year-round to design the float, build the float, paint the float, and decorate the float. It is a labor of love, and we feel so fortunate for this sneak preview of their 2026 Float.
