Bought as Phil’s final car in The Great Classic Trade Up, our 2004 Jaguar XK8 Convertible certainly turned heads at the NEC Classic Motor Show. After competition winner Doug opted for Lancaster Insurance’s Austin 1300 instead, however, things went downhill for the Jag; worrying rust in the floor, rotten subframe and a chassis peppered with bad corrosion looked set to make this V8 cabriolet a write-off. With extensive work and thousands spent on restoration, however, our Jag is back and we’re determined to raise as much as possible for charity by sending it to auction!
