Last September, I spent 6 days camping during a massive heat wave. I was treated to some of the most beautiful moonrises and stargazing I've ever seen, as well as the NORTHERN LIGHTS!! Yeah, it was pretty exciting. This was originally supposed to be a 10-day trip, but the heat wave made me a paranoid dog-dad, so I last-minute changed it to something shorter for Elo. But hey, 6 days is still pretty commendable for her first multi-day backcountry canoe trip, right!?
