Gretsch Historic Series were made in Korea Peerless factory 1999 to 2003 pre Fender. Absolutely no indication on the guitars that they were made in Korea. "Guitar Label Inside Cats Eye Hole says "Gretsch PO Box 3168 Savannah Georgia 31402 USA" with a seriel number. That could mislead people to think it was made in the USA. Was it done on purpose or by design or just an oversite? LOL :) These guitars are very high quality and in my opinion extremely close and in some cases equal or better quality to the Japanese made Gretsch Profesional Grade Proline. I have owned several of the Japanese Proline models. Of course this is just my opinion which is the only opinion that means anything to me. :) :)
