Описание: Jujutsu Kaisen: The Culling Game Part 1 is finally upon us! (Or it is for everyone who was too busy during the holiday season to go see the Execution compilation film that also included some of the new season). And to celebrate King Gnu returning for yet another JJK song, here's another AMV thingy to celebrate! Let me say, I was skeptical of this new OP at first. I don't think anyone can fault the effort put into it if nothing else. Even if you don't think it all fits together coherently, there's a staggering amount of effort on display still. Even the song, while I think probably the weakest out of One Way and SPECIALZ, I think grows on you with subsequent listens. And even the OP I think comes together on multiple rewatches (and you can imagine how much I had to watch of it while studying it to make this video). It's definitely maximalist in it's approach - for better or worse. There's a lot being thrown at you, so it can be disorienting at a glance at first. Even as someone who has read the manga and so can make heads or tails of a lot of the symbolism, it is genuinely a lot and even now I'm not quite convinced it all coheres. You can have completely off the wall OPs and make it work (Mob Psycho 100 comes to mind for example) and while I don't think this all quite comes together ultimately I think a majority of it does work and is quite impressive. And as such I wanted to try to match the pacing and visuals of it as much as possible. So there's a lot of rapid cutting in this AMV because I was directly trying to mimic the pacing of the actual OP. Did it fully pay off? I'll let the audience be the deciding vote.
