POV Street Photography | Leica Q3 43 | One of my favorite places for street photography

Описание: Gyodong is one of my favorite places to shoot street photography in Daegu. It’s located close to Dongseongno, the city’s main downtown area, which means there’s always a steady flow of young people. These days, it’s become one of the most youthful neighborhoods in Daegu. Lined with stylish cafés, bars, and restaurants, Gyodong is also a place where traces of the old days remain untouched. The coexistence of the newest trends and the oldest traditions, of the youngest crowds and the most elderly locals, makes Gyodong an endlessly fascinating place.

But these days, even Gyodong is changing, with many new modern buildings and high-rise apartments being built. As a street photographer, I often feel a strong urge to capture what still remains of the old before it disappears.
The streets were cloudy and rainy that day, but I hope that mood comes through in the video. Rather than cutting out parts, I decided to speed up the footage a little so you can experience the raw, unfiltered view of the street as it really was.

대구 교동은 제가 street photography를 찍을 때 정말로 좋아하는 곳이에요. 이곳은 대구의 최고 중심지인 동성로와 가까워 젊은 사람들의 유입이 많은데, 그래서인지 요즘은 대구에서 가장 젊은 장소 중 하나랍니다. 멋진 카페, 술집, 음식점들이 줄비한 교동은 동시에 오래된 것들이 그대로 남아있는 곳이기도 해요. 가장 유행하는 것과 가장 오래된 것, 가장 젊은 사람들과 가장 나이가 많은 사람들이 혼재된 교동은 정말로 매력적인 장소랍니다.

하지만 요즘 교동도 신축 아파트를 포함해 현대적인 건물들이 많이 들어오고 있어요. 그래서 저는 거리를 기록하는 사진가로써 기회가 될 때마다 옛것이 남아있는 이곳을 기록해야 할 것만 같다는 생각이 들기도 해요. 거리가 흐리고 비가 왔지만, 그 나름의 정취가 전달이 됐으면 좋겠네요. 거리의 뷰를 가능한 경험하실 수 있도록 잘라내기 보다는 속도를 빠르게 해서 날 것의 모습을 조금이라도 더 보여드릴려고 노력했답니다.
