Tron: Ares Director Explains Why You Need To See This Movie in IMAX

Описание: It's almost impossible to believe that it's already been 15 years since Garrett Hedlund took to the Grid in Tron: Legacy. On October 10, we'll finally return as the long-awaited threequel, Tron: Ares, makes its theatrical debut, from director Joachim Rønning (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales).

Although Legacy, contrary to popular belief, was not actually a box office flop, Disney's expectations certainly weren't met by what seemed like a bankable tentpole venture, and it seemed that a return to Tron would be unlikely anytime soon. Thankfully, as appreciation for Legacy has grown, so has the interest from higher-ups as to what a new Tron story might look like. In Ares, Jared Leto plays the titular highly intelligent program unleashed on a deadly mission to the real world. Additionally, the stacked cast includes Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, and Gillian Anderson.

Ahead of the movie's release, Collider's Steve Weintraub had the chance to chat with director Rønning, with the pair leaving no neon-glowing stone unturned.
