One of the most popular places to travel by ferry is from the Jetty at Kuala Kedah to Langkawi and its main port at the Jetty in Kuah town. From Kuala Kedah Jetty there are many high-speed boats that make the trip over to Langkawi every day of the year.
The trip to Kuah is scheduled to take just one hour, 45 minutes.
These fast boats are operated by the Langkawi Ferry Line and there are frequent trips a day in each direction, with the first ferry to Langkawi leaving at 7am and the last ferry at 7pm.
