On the 4 July 2025, King's Legal Clinic launched The Promise, an immersive performance spotlighting the lived experiences of those affected by the Home Office Windrush scandal, alongside Windrush Justice Clinic’s legal research.
Drawing on real-life testimonies, the performance shed light on the ongoing harms caused by the Windrush Compensation Scheme and the urgent need for reform.
The Windrush Justice Clinic at King’s Legal Clinic continues to support those who have suffered and been treated unfairly under the scheme.
The Promise is funded by King's Culture and part of Lost and Found: Stories of Sanctuary and Belonging, a free programme of arts and ideas created with artists, researchers, academics and communities from London and beyond.
