Filmed at an intimate show at Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2014 at Tiger Spilbar one of Copenhagens new music venues.

It was a great night lit up by a very enthusiastic Christina Dahl Quartet, giving spellbinding renditions of the tracks from the new album: Life's Carousel.

Christina Dahl talks about her music: "To me music is love. Love is unconditional. I can choose to receive the music and let it flow through me like a wave of warm energy. I can express myself freely.

I can let myself be caught, taken by the music. I can consciously and unconsciously find an embrace of all my feelings in the music"

Christina Dahl has composed the tracks for her new album specifically for her new quartet. As she says about her compositions:

"I am contantly searching for a greater freedom of expression and new challenges as a composer. It is important to me that the music I compose is creating a frame of freedom. My vision is to challenge and develop new expressions in my music as well as to create new musical sounds."

The quartet consists of Jesper Lundgaard (b), who plays with great virtuosity and is an internationally acclaimed bass player; Espen Laub von Lilienskjold (dr), a young talented drummer who is able to follow the music unconditionally with great musical energy; and Niclas Knudsen (g), a great guitar player with a big personality who is able to express himself freely and lyrically.
