Padma Bhushan winner Michael Ferreira arrested in multi crore fraud case

Описание: Former World Billiards Champion and winner of the prestigious Padma Bhushan Michael Ferreira has been arrested in connection with the multi-crore Qnet scam. The Supreme Court has also rejected anticipatory bail pleas from the four accused.
Ferreira was arrested along with his three associates in Mumbai and has been taken to Hyderabad by Central Crime Station.

The business was based on banned Pyramid scheme that recruits members via a promise of payment or services for enrolling others into the scheme, rather than supplying investments or sale of products.
It operated in India under the "Vihaan Direct marketing selling company", which sold products like magnetic disks, herbal products and holiday schemes.
