This is a mindset that you can adopt to help you overcome any challenges that you might face and that you might find yourself unprepared for.
This lesson learned in the military is taught to soldiers so that it might help them accomplish their missions should any unforeseen obstacles arise, which more often than not do.
Quite simply it means to always be aware of your surroundings and thinking about alternative solutions to an obstacle, whether that be physical or mental.
