वाराणसी के चोलापुर थाना क्षेत्र के कैथोर गांव से सामने आया एक दिल दहला देने वाला हत्याकांड।
बाजरे के ढेर में छुपाई गई एक महिला की खून से सनी लाश ने पूरे इलाके में सनसनी फैला दी।

शव का सिर और चेहरा इतनी बेरहमी से कुचला गया था कि पहचान तक मुश्किल हो गई।
लेकिन हाथ पर बने दो टैटू — ‘PL’ और ‘GP’ — पुलिस के लिए सबसे बड़ा सुराग साबित हुए।

जांच आगे बढ़ी तो खुलासा हुआ कि मृतका कोई और नहीं, बल्कि सोनबरसा गांव निवासी
लक्ष्मी मिश्रा (26) थी, जिसकी शादी प्रदीप मिश्रा (46) से हुई थी।

पुलिस पूछताछ में पति ने जो सच कबूला, वह रोंगटे खड़े कर देने वाला है।
आरोपी के अनुसार, उसे पत्नी के किसी और से अवैध संबंधों का शक था।
फोन पर होने वाली बातचीत और बार-बार घर छोड़कर चले जाने से वह परेशान था।

शुक्रवार को फोन पर झगड़े के बाद आरोपी ने पत्नी को घुमाने के बहाने ऑटो में बैठाया।
गांव के बाहर एक सुनसान जगह पर पहले मफलर से गला घोंटा,
फिर पहचान मिटाने के इरादे से सिर और चेहरे को ईंट से कुचल दिया।

हत्या के बाद शव को करीब 25 किलोमीटर दूर कैथोर गांव के बगीचे में
सूखे बाजरे के ढेर में छुपा दिया गया।

रविवार सुबह जब एक मूक-बधिर युवक बाजरा उठाने पहुंचा,
तो उसने खून से सनी लाश देखी और घबरा गया।
इशारों से गांववालों को जानकारी दी, जिसके बाद पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची।

फॉरेंसिक टीम और डॉग स्क्वॉड ने घटनास्थल की जांच की।
खोजी कुत्ता घटनास्थल से करीब 100 मीटर दूर तक गया।
मौके से खून से सनी ईंट, चप्पल और एक खिलौना बरामद किया गया।

फिलहाल पुलिस ने आरोपी पति को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है
और आगे की कानूनी कार्रवाई जारी है।

He was troubled by her phone conversations and her frequent departures from home.

On Friday, after an argument over the phone, the accused took his wife in an auto-rickshaw under the pretext of taking her for a ride.
At a secluded spot outside the village, he first strangled her with a muffler,
and then, with the intention of concealing her identity, crushed her head and face with a brick.

After the murder, the body was hidden in a pile of dry millet in an orchard
in Kaithor village, about 25 kilometers away.

On Sunday morning, when a deaf and mute young man went to collect the millet,
he saw the blood-stained body and was terrified.
He informed the villagers through gestures, after which the police arrived at the scene.

The forensic team and dog squad investigated the crime scene.
The sniffer dog went about 100 meters away from the spot.
A blood-stained brick, slippers, and a toy were recovered from the scene.

Currently, the police have arrested the accused husband
and further legal proceedings are underway.
