Bridging Humanity - A Day in the Life of a Pema Ts'al Monk

We teach them how to live a healthy balanced life in harmony with their environment & how to create useful things made from trash so they can make a living. In this video we visited the Pema Ts'al Sakya Monastery which is located in Pokhara, Nepal. This monastery takes in homeless, orphaned & needy children from the Mustang region which is one of the poorest regions of Nepal as well as Tibetan refugee children. During our time here we have learned a lot about the monks of Pema Ts'al & it has been a fascinating journey into the daily life of a monk. Some of the youngest monks are 5 years old. The children & college monks love studying & have a rigorous daily schedule. In Nepal they study & pray 6 days a week & only have Saturday off. Many of the younger monks like to swim in the river on their days off. The monastery needs volunteers to help teach & spend time with the kids & college monks.
