Winster, Birchover & Limestone Way Walk was about 4 miles in distance. The terrain of the route was a combination of enclosed tracks, field paths and a woodland path; a flagged causeway across a marsh; a quiet country lane, some short road sections and pavements. The walking was easy on level or undulating ground with gentle to moderate slopes. Route finding was easy with obvious paths, good waymarking and good landmarks. Some of the paths were a little muddy and slippery in places, especially on the flagged causeway through the marsh. There were fourteen stiles to negotiate.
