Ripples of Resistance explores Austin’s relationship with racial integration through the stories of three teenage Black girls in the early 1960s. Their various efforts- bolstered by their activist and educator parents - eventually led to the desegregation of Barton Springs Municipal Pool in 1963. This is the story of how Saundra Kirk, Janet Scott Means, and her older sister Joan Means Khabele changed Austin forever.
