This Sunday Pastor Matt came to us with a great message about connection. We have been focusing on covenant as a church body and family lately, and Matt's message was so perfect to fit into that vein, teaching us Biblical skills for cherishing that covenant we have with others and how to value and strengthen that connection. Matt spoke about being vulnerable, and how being vulnerable and transparent in a relationship makes you more powerful. There is also great power in forgiveness or saying you are sorry or were wrong. Humility is strength! You need to be willing to receive from others and die to yourself (your flesh) to really LIVE. We also need to connect to the body. We need to know that every part of the body is important and you always have something you can add to someone/somewhere, but we need to be willing to glean from others instead of being jealous.
Today's verses were: 1 Corinthians 12:18-31 (Message version), Ephesians 1, and Ephesians 2:5-6.
