02. Download the Patch Selector via Unverum
03. In the Unverum app: Right click the GGST Patch Selector ► Open Mod Folder
04. From the GGST Patch Selector folder: Open the Patch Selector folder then copy both the .pak and .sig files of whichever version you wish to play
05. Go back to the GGST Patch Selector folder and paste both the .pak and .sig files you copied (only have one set of .pak and .sig files at a time here)
06. Launch Guilty Gear Strive via Unverum
Simply delete the files you copied to go back to the current version of Strive.
Please note that there may be bugs and some version inaccuracies with this mod, but this is a more convenient way of experiencing the older versions of Strive on your own or with mates online.

Below is how I played the older versions before the mod above was created:
READ THIS BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO PLAY ANY OLDER VERSIONS:
First, back-up your SYSTEM.sav file (this is your profile, settings, music collection, currency, etc)
01. Press the Windows key + R
02. Type in %localappdata%
03. Navigate to GGST ► Saved ► SaveGames ► numbers folder (this is your user profile with your replays and sav files)
04. Create a copy of the SYSTEM.sav file and store it elsewhere (don’t worry about other files, they’ll be fine)

You can also back-up your game files so you don’t have to download the latest version again
01. Right click game on Steam ► Manage ► Browse local files
02. Create a copy of all the game files (Engine, RED, GGST.exe) and store it elsewhere

How to install older versions:
01. Go to Strive’s Steamdb page here: https://steamdb.info/depot/1384161/ma...
02. Identify which version you wish to download (release date helps)
03. Copy the ManifestID on the right side of the list
04. Open Steam Console by typing “steam://nav/console” in your browser (exclude quotation marks)
05. Type in: “download_depot 1384160 1384161 ManifestID” (exclude quotation marks) and enter
06. Steam will initiate the download and display download location once done (should download to “Steam ► steamapps ► content”)
07. Move the game files (Engine, RED, GGST.exe) to the game’s directory “Steam ► steamapps ► common ► GUILTY GEAR STRIVE”

Play the older versions in Steam’s offline mode so you don’t attempt to download the latest update. Once you want to play the latest version again, either move a back-up of the current game version to the game’s directory and replace the old game version files; or simply go online and download the current version (refresh Steam if it doesn’t prompt an update available). Move your SYSTEM.sav back-up in your user profile folder, replacing the old one for the prior version of the game.
