The Welsh Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery at Morriston Hospital held its second Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) Day in Swansea. The event, attended by 87 women of all ages, was a huge success.
Women who had been diagnosed with breast cancer and had breast reconstruction, met other women who were about to go through the same procedure. Also on hand were 33 healthcare professionals providing advice and answering questions.
At the event were three women who had different types of breast reconstruction. They happily chatted to other women sharing their stories about implants, using parts of your back and tummy to build a breast, nipple reconstruction and tattooing.
