Описание: This is the vocal range of Katy Perry in her fourth album: Witness (2017). It's passed about a decade after her debut in the music business and Katy is still one of the most powerful popstars out there and with this new album she reivented herself showing a darker side of her personality.
Although she didn't make significant improvements, she is a bit more solid vocally than before: she explored much more her low notes showing a good vocal tone down to Eb3, her belted notes are a little stronger and more stable (at least in studio) and she keeps playing with her falsetto. Unfortunately she used more autotune here for musical purposes.
I think this is her most personal album! She explored a new darker and eletronic sound within the use of the octave unison in order to express the sadness and the disappointment that she feels inside after all the political and personal events that she got through during the last years, from the political elections to the stan wars, the conflict with her parents and last but not least the dichotomy that she developed between the popstar that she became and her real personality. A whole different album from her previous works that I actually appreciated. Nice job Katy!
My favourite songs are Witness, Roulette, Swish Swish, Deja Vu, Miss You More, Chained to the Rhythm, Bon Appetit, Bigger Than Me and Pendulum!
